I guess it is just a kind of "backup" for I-485. Say, if anything wrong with the current I-485, you can still continue to work on H visa and start another sesssion on green card struggle. So, it doesn't hurt to have H-1 extended.

Just call FBI at 304-625-5590 option #4 and tell them you are applying I-485 and your alien number.

Same here, AVM not updating ND 3/21/02 FP done on 4/30/02 AVM still saying "Notice for FP was sent on ...." My attorney talked to IIO and was told that my FP has been received and cleared. So just keep waiting...

Usually FBI sent FP result back to INS on the same day or the following day. It's only AVM not updating in INS.
