I think INS just want to make sure one is "working" for some company and in the same field the GC is applied for.

Just wondering why this GC approval has anything to do with travel to visit family and friends...I thought it’s an obstacle (sometimes) only in your professional career. Your time will come and just be optimistic. ps : ignore me ... I am WUI :-)

Unfortunately I couldn't convice the supervisor at BMV ( Columbus-Oh) and got the renewal by the stamping date. She insisted on seeing the actual GC.

I am not sure whether the immigration check is as simple as checking your PP , AP etc. The last two times we used AP , we were taken into a different room and made to wait for 10-15 mins before they let us go. We think they looked at our cases using the A# before stamping the I-94 but this...

It’s my turn to say the magic word :-) Received an email around 3 pm ET saying ... "This case has been approved. On November 24, 2004, an approval notice was mailed." Spouse's case is still pending but LUD changed today, 11/26.

nsc121901 , I e-filed mine on 8/24 and could only get the FP/Photo appointment at the Col-OH office for 10/8 and was approved on 10/19 and got the card a week later. Hope your 485 gets approved soon ... I can understand how you feel seeing all those 02,03 and even 04 filers getting approved.

My experience was good at Columbus location. We have our 485 2nd FPs taken almost 3 weeks in advance ( 10/8 vs scheduled 10/28 ) and also my spouse's EAD FP ( 10/8 vs scheduled 11/17) We went in two times and they only had 3/4 people scheduled for that day and the whole office was empty. I...

In my case I believe I got my 2nd FP only after applying for EAD ... nothing happened after the FP so applied for AP yesterday. We'll see what happens.

eFiled with RD 8/22 FP and Photos - 10/8 ( could not get the FP appointment earlier ) Per online message it was approved and the card was mailed on 10/19.

Thanks mao for the info. I'll be going to that office on 10/7 for EAD FP and try for my 485 2nd FP which is scheduled for 10/28. I may not be lucky but will post the details.

Finally we got our 2nd FP notices scheduled for 10/28.( no change in online status , no emails from BCIS but was a pleasant surprise in the mail) Actually nothing happened since the RFE and we got these only after applying for our 3rd EADs a month ago. This makes me believe those who came up...
