Answers 1. EAD processing is not by PD(priority date), instead by EAD Receipt DATE. 2. Yes. AOS is based on categories. EB1/2/3. There are certain numbers in each category and preference would be given accordingly. Hope this info helps Good Luck

Jagdeesh - I emailed Chennai consulate and they were super fast. They replied in less than 2 hours. In fact I even called them and ascertained that my 140 was still lying there and that the INS had not requested it yet. (ND - 01/01) Try calling them directly and check on the status. Let...

I guess even NVC is messed up. I don\'t get it. They send the 140 approval to consulate for some and for others they don\'t!! What kind of processesing is that?? Well the mystery continues..... Good Luck

485-2001 - You are right. If I can recollect, my 140 was filed with an old form which had that question? So thats what screwed us I presume. Well, nothing much we can do now. Good Luck

Jai Jagdeesh - 140 is still in Chennai, and no request has been made yet. I spoke to the guys in Chennai Consulate and they confirmed that the 140 is with them and that they havn\'t received any request from INS to send it back. Good Luck to everyone. Hope this process will end soon for good.
