thanks starbucks, I was just getting started working with the senator's office.
I had only an initial contact with Sen Lamar Alexandar's office (TN). I had faxed one of the letters which was on this forum to his office, and had spoken to some folks at his office.
Just this Monday I got a...
Guys, Online status changed to Approved !
My wife's case status also says approved. Both on Jan 20th.
I was always stressed out over my wife's case because, since we applied, her lin # was never found online or on AVM.
In fact for the first six months her case status was "application...
russin, I did not fax , I spoke to the immigartion "liasons" of the two senators from Tennesse, and gave the details.
cmr's letter will be helpfull though.
I was thinking today however, that with so many of us around (2nd FPs - not approved sort), someone may notice our cases and resume...
redforgreen, I am glad to hear cases like yours where folks have gone ahead and used AC21.
I have been contemplating a similar move, since I work for a desi contracting/services company.
Lets hope things move faster for all of us.
thanks sankrit,
I actually relocated from orlando to memphis in first week of november, and was busy settling down for a while. Then I decided not to spoil my holiday mood by checking my status and checking here.
Guys please do not get me wrong and congrats to all those approved, but I...
Also, wanted to add that there is a huge difference between the way Lou Dobbs covers the outsourcing issue and the way CNBC covers the issue. ( I haven't watched O'reilly on FOX as yet)
A few weeks back there was a series run for almost a week in the aftermarket show hosted by Ron Insana and...
Sankrit, every business run in the US has plenty of dirty secrets to be dug up. In fact most of the points made by Lou Dobbs do not have any substantial background homework done.
Nor does CNN or any news network stand to gain anything (especially financially) by being vindictive against a...

Who knows, it may not get noticed or maybe it might. But at least we are voicing an opinion about...
Completely agree with d1203. Who knows, if the petition gets signed by a huge number of us, it may effect some changes.
Three years back ISN (largely run by Indians) was quite successful in getting AC21 / H1B extension rules implemented.
Go for it everybody, SIGN the petition and forward...
DO you have your lawyer ? If yes, then can't you ask a letter from your company HR explaining the name change and your actual hire date with the erstwhile named and the current named company ?
If you have a company lawyer, how is he handling other RFEs ? Try getting in touch with him.
> My Parents had to prepare the following documents :
> 1. My birth certificate.
> Their other children's birth certificates.
My parents were asked to have copies of my and my sibling's birth certificates. I should have said "make copies" instead of prepare. The local office in Pune...

Sorry, should have included that when this therad started.
> AR888...you want start this thread now???????
and could you please open 'Something Constructive' too.
And while you are at it, might as well open up Patel Motel.
:p
I also had a comment that visitor visas are issued by the US State Department, and INS which adjudicates I485s is a different body.
So as long as the people you sponsor do not break any immigration laws, everyone should be ok.
