My personal experience was though I carried the bank letter and statements, it wasn't asked for. Only the notarized I-134 was taken.
As is stated in the I-134 page 2, the bank letter needs to state
a. Current balance
b. Date on which account opened
c. Amount deposited in the...
Let's say the Green Card has the maiden name and one would like to change it, does anybody know if it is possible and if possible, the process to change it?
I know I am saying this before the fact but it should be a breeze. Though I can understand your anxiety :-) Let me know if you need information on anything when u get to Mumbai.

Thanks. My wife and me were together throughout the process, not sure why you thought otherwise. She was just let inside the consulate earlier than me because for the security check, they have a different queue for ladies (which ofcourse moves faster).
For the PCC, my case has...
Thanks Srisubra.

You are right, there is no connection.
We went to the CID office at Crawford Market last week (28th April). The guy there was very courteous, maybe because we spoke in Marathi. We tried convincing him that we needed the PCC quickly (before 3rd May). He said that there are ways to...
Medical Test: Breach Candy Hospital 22nd April
Interview: 3rd May
We took our car and parked it in the MCGM parking lot adjacent to the consulate. We reached around 7:45AM and already there was a long queue (about 30-40 people
ahead of us) outside. Ofcourse this included both...
Came back from the PC interview just now. Will post my experience in the thread for "Likely Mumbai CP Interview in April, May, June 2004"
About experience letters:
I had notarized offer letter from the US company. I had an experience letter from the Indian company (currently employed with...
I agree..the consulate sends the Packet 3 again to everybody when they create the case # based on the Packet 3 that you originally sent. As gcbad has suggested, check the cover letter.
I was employed in 1999-2000 and I am planning to get just copies of W-2 and Tax Returns, just in case. I am hoping I won't need them and company's employment letter will be enough.
forsms2002:
You mistook my question. I was asking about the Crime Branch PCC and whether you got it based on the RPO PCC.
Your post answered my question as it seems it doesn't matter whether one has an RPO PCC, the Crime Branch PCC takes time.

I mailed the consulate to ask for the fee increase. They replied back saying there is no fee increase and it stands at $335. I will go with that assuming they will inform if there is a change in fee.
