I don't think you need Transit Visa if flying by Air India. This flight just makes a stop but none of the US passengers are allowed to get off the plane. I took this flight a year ago and did not get any Visa.
No you do not need Transit Visa. I travelled on the same route on AIR INDIA a year ago and since one is not allowed to disembark at Paris you will not require any Transit Visa. You can actually call AIR INDIA if you need further confirmation.
You have few options (choose one):
--- Get a Birth Certificate from your Country's Consulate in the US if they offer one. This is the easiest option and is typically based on your passport.

Hello folks,
I got my wife's and my 485 approval emails on Friday July 16. Receipt date is 10/26/2002 and ND is 11/12/2002. I have updated Rupnet as well.
Thanks to all for providing their valuable experience and advice in this forum. It is priceless.
Will update you all once I get...
Thanks, I was surprised to see the approval myself. But again it has been 13 months since I did my first FP. Also I did apply for AP and 3rd EAD on july 12. So not sure if that helped.
May be VSC is working faster.
Good luck to every one waiting. It is matter of weeks.
