quite straight forward, go to http://infopass.uscis.gov/ and set up an apointment for "question on your case" , during apointment ask for - "has my FP expired", if it is then officer will give you letter for FP.

No, just seems to be internal housekeeping effort by CIS, FBI name check will still be an issue no matter how efficent system they create for tracking the request / results unless FBI put more resources for NNCP.

Internal system change This does not seem to be a big change and looks like just an internal system change on how they maintain the background check data internaly, FBI will still do the name check ... but I agree that any little thing can disturb the precarious USCIS system. sick with FBI...

Just came back from Infopass, my FBI name check is still pending so LUD on 8/15 does not indicate any positive development for cases stuck in Name check. Happy long weekend.

Not any more, few weeks back I sent them an email and got the reply that they do not reply to public enquries on this email and call 1800 number for any enquiry.
