Hi You informed people, Could anyone enlighten me regarding the eligibiliy period and process of appying for citizenship. I have a green card (having won the DV lottery in Europe) and have been a resident here since 2008. I file taxes each year and have not been out of the country longer than...
Well, I must be the first person who cares to respond to you.. I had no problem in receiving my GC via the post. I didn't have to go to the office, it came to me via the mail and I got my card in 2008. I have also heard of others who applied around the same time as mine and have received theirs...
Hi Babsido
Just sent you a PM. I do own a house with rooms-this is not a scam, you can check my posts, I have been here for some time and was helped a great deal by people on this site so wish to return the favour. Get back to me if you still need some help.
Mas, thanks again for the reply and lets hope I'll never need TAFN.
Bentle, I've no kids but good for others to know.
Truffy, Read my original post....'I now wish to apply for some form of Health Care...' Medicare was one option. What's pathetic about exploring the choices that are available?

You may have a problem with your mailing address? KCC after processing your documents should be able to give you an interview date. I would call/email them again, check details they have on file and enquire possible date for interview. Good luck
Femo. This is not the case. As long as you apply within the given timescale you have the same chance as anyone else who's information is correct. I for example applied at the last moment and was selected and given a very low number. The process is a lottery and therefore peope as selected randomly
Thanks guys for your response, I feel much clearer now as I was concerned that multiple trips aboard (and most are for a vacation as I am retired) may jeopardize my application (in years to come) for citizenship. Have I read this correctly ie cumulative periods during the year is not...
Please don't make assumptions. I am extremely happy here but as I travel regulary to take care of other matters abroad I do not wish to jepodise my happy and comfortable life here. Thus my enquires as above.:)
Just a quickie,
Could anyone enlighten me. How often and for how long after obtaining the GC, can I leave the country on holiday or return to original place of residence without jeopardizing my application for citizenship.
Many thanks
I beg to differ, the forum is for everyone and I do not see that you have the right to tell anyone not to bring an issue for discussion as this does have a direct bearing and relevance to his application. Additionally, this may well assist others. I believe only the Moderators have a right to...
