It’s Africa and the embassy initial it was Harare embassy in Zimbabwe however because of suspension all the cases are being transferred to the post which is Johannesburg in South Africa

And when did you submit your DS260?

@Xarthisius @Britsimon are you aware of any issues/backlogs at JNB? It’s typically a pretty quiet consulate with plenty of capacity for DV so not sure what the hold up might be.

We submitted our DS260 early in May however on the 4th of October we had to add another DS260 for the new born and the case was current and we couldn’t unlock ours to edit the section for children we just added the DS260 for the baby only. When are we likely to get our 2NL given this situation

I know someone from Harare who submitted ds260 in May and with a low case number. They got their 2nl monthend of October for a December interview. U might have been in the queue to receive 2nl last month, probably that addition of a new ds260 might have just slightly delayed IMO. U may be in the wave of 2nls this month for January interviews. Historically JHN schedules almost every month consistently in normal years apart from covid years. Hopefully u give feedback here.

Thank you for this insightful update. Will definitely come back here if the 2nl comes through this month

Hi everyone.
I’m pleased to share that I completed my immigrant visa interview in Montreal and my visa was approved. The consulate had a comprehensive checklist of the required documents, and no additional items were requested. They did not ask for financial evidence, and they only requested my highest earned degree.
For anyone preparing for their interview in the future: there is no need to upload documents to the Montreal portal—simply bring the required documents with you!

Thank you members of this forum for your help!

When can we expect KCC to release 2NL during this month of November? Do we have anyone who has received their 2NL DURING THIS MONTH?

If you check xarthisius data, historically Jhn usually sends 2nls between 20 to monthend.

I have an f2a application pending for 3.5 years and just got my DV approved on Friday. It's not a problem.
Hi, I also have the same situation as you and I'm waiting to attend my interview in early December! Did the consular officer ask you anything about your husband's LPR status or anything related to your F2A application? And are you withdrawing your F2A application by any chance? Thanks.

Would strongly suggest not withdrawing any other application until you have a green card in hand.

thanks! i meant to ask if withdrawing the application is necessary at all after we have the green card in hand, or just let it be and not proceed to the next step once prompted?

They’re supposed to automatically withdraw it. They don’t always, but it doesn’t matter. If you want to withdraw after you can.
