DV 2025 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

1. Please go through the AOS Process Spreadsheet. You can find it on the first page / initial post of this thread. Your options for filing are well explained there.
2. The answer of the sample form applies.
3. What exactly are you referring to for your husband to fill out?
 
I am current in Feb, I am wondering if will there be any issue with early filing. Second of all, I wanted to know does he needs to file a separate I-485. If you read part 2 item 2 for a diversity visa, it should be yes but in the sample, it is No.

What do you mean, you are current in February? The visa bulletin current numbers are only updated to December.

please read the aos spreadsheet in detail.

Will it cause any issue if an „other name used“ that’s on the I-485 was missed to put on the bio AIW, and should anything be done here proactively, like contacting USCIS / redoing bio?

You'll just have to wait and see. You cannot proactively re-do the bio.

So it either goes through or I would get a new bio I assume? Should I contact them about it?

It’s pretty strange as when signing the information did not show up for review and also, they did not really seem to look at the AIW much.

Wouldn’t they also use the information from the I-485 for the background check?

WAIT AND SEE!

All the information provided (including any withheld information which they will find out about anyways, for anyone who decides to withhold) will be used in conducting the background check.

It depends on a combination of several factors such as when your background check clears, your FO's workload, whether your FO batches DV AOS cases or not, if your FO approves DV based AOS cases or not, etc.

I suggest you take a look at the "FAQ" tab of the AOS Process Spreadsheet for more applicable information. Also, take a look at some of the past Timeline spreadsheets to get an idea of how your FO has treated DV bases AOS cases in the past. And finally, do add your case progress to the 2025 Timeline spreadsheet.
 
Hi

In my wife's I-485 form, part 2 "Information about Your Immigrant Category" I filled everything with N/A following the provided sample. I believe I should have written my info: name, DOB, A#, etc under the principal applicant information as I'm the one who one the lottery. Is that a reason for an RFE in the future or cause any trouble?
 
Hello,

The visa bulletin for December 2024 was just released. For Asia, the number is 5500. Could I send my I-485 to file AOS now if my case number is AS000035XX, or do I need to wait until the first of December or the first of January?

You may send in your AOS package now if you wish to take advantage of the early filing option. You can also wait until Dec. 1st to file if you prefer to go the regular filing route.

It should hopefully not be an issue.
