False USC Claim on Community College Application

You've listed several possible things the OP can do. One of your suggestions involved the OP not disclosing a potential serious issue. In essence you're saying he can lie on his application without stating the possible consequences. Terrible advice.

People here can give all kinds of advice and other people can offer counteradvice. Let the OP make decision. Others are not responsible whatever he decide. No one is that dumn enough without knowing what could happen given each kind of choice.

You are the monitor and you can delete all posts that directly or indriecty advise the OP not to disclose. You can see unlike me a few other plainly told the OP
to go ahead with application without disslocing anhything

Now you're just talking gibberish. You've already proved yourself by giving unsound advice without me having to delete any posts.

WBH, you are correct in all your post. Some people like Bob will never be convinced. And Bob cannot delete post simply because he doesn't agree. If he does threaten to, he will NOT be a moderator much longer. Another moderator did that last year and got kicked out of his job for threats of deleting posts he didn't agree with.

This is not legal advice by any means, rather a cilivian chat board!

Anyhow, I am done with this arguement. Good luck to the OP.

The IO can simply ask.

IO: where did you go to collegse
the applicant: I went to XXX county community collge in XXX satte
IO: when was that
the applicant: 6 years ago
The IO: how come I do not see you have I20 in your A file. Did you file for I20?
the applicant: I don't remmeber etc
The IO: I am sorry I have to re-schedule this interview. Here I give you a N14 form. Please bring a copy of collge application
when you come to teh reschedule interview

Several years ago, I had to obtain a copy of my application and financial aid from one of the colleges that I attended. After running around from one office to another (don't you just love bureaucracy?) for close to 6 hours, I was finally told that those records have been deleted and cannot be obtained. The only things they had were my record of attendance and transcript.

Even if the IO was nosy enough to pry into an applicant's school history, he/she would request a transcript, not the application.

If tha very original applicant form was destryed because teh colleges does not have enough storage capacity, then the issue is whether
USCIS bothers about the fact the OP attended college without proper visa or visa status application (I-20). If they see he attanded college, then it is not a record but lack of record in his A file that be a concern

No my friend, it is you giving terrible advice to him.

An how exactly is suggesting the OP seek the advice of a qualified lawyer terrible advice??

Suggesting that someone lie on their application by not disclosing a false claim to US citizenship is the terrible advice you someone have convinced yourself of.

I've never deleted posts I don't agree, but I don't have any qualms about deleting posts that seek to stir up rhetoric like yours.
