Hi pulo,
My application was mailed to IL SESA on June 11, 2001. My PD should be a few days after yours. I have not yet received a notification letter from SESA. Please keep me posted of any developments in your case. Thanks.

Congrats pulo

Hopefully your case will be transferred to Federal DOL soon. How did you find out about your PD? Did they send you a receipt notice that had your PD?

My case was sent to IL SESA around 10/10/2001.

Sure I will.

Sure. You should get their aknowledgement letter this week or next week. Does anyone know how long it takes them to process a case.
Lets hope it\'s not going to take them forever to forward our cases. We\'ve already waited to long.

I received the following email from my lawyer assistant

We received your filing receipt for your application for Labor
Certification. If you recall, the Illinois Department of Employment
Security is currently experiencing a backlog in processing. For the
purposes of immigration, your application has been given the priority
date of June 11, 2001.

Tank you JRChicago.

You\'ve been in this thread for sometimes now. How come you\'re filing on the 10/10/2001?

My application was sent to IL SESA in the end of May

My application was sent to IL SESA in the end of May, and the PD 5/29/2001.

My lawyer received this PD on 10/16/2001, the same day when case was forwarded to Chicago\'s regional office, as shown by the email tracking system.

Finally Transferred to Chicago DOL too...

Whew! My application has also been transferred to Chicago DOL.
Mailed to IL SESA around 05/21..transferred to Chicago DOL on 10/12

Does anyone know how IL SESA does the job classification or is that
performed by the DOL? I have been classfied as a Mech Engr even though
I am a Chem Engr. My company has predominantly Mech Engrs though
it does hire plenty of Chem Engrs as well.

My previous attempt, I was classfied as a Chem Engr in a Mech Engr
company and my RIR was turned down and sent down the regular line.
I wonder how the classification system works?

pulo

I have been thru IL SESA and Chicago DOL ordeal before on my previous job. Now I am working for another company and that is why it\'s starting all over again. I only have 2 more years on my H-1 and that is why I keep checking as to how fast this IL SESA mess is moving. Looks like it\'s back on track. Thanks for asking and best of luck to you. You have done a nice job of keeping this thread alive.
