It's a sad day for the World

Non of the problems discussed in this forum can compare to the problems and sufferings of those people affected by the tragedy. My deepest condolences to Indian nation. May God be with you and the rest of peaceful world! 7/11 and 9/11 .... kind of scary isn't it?

Getting free medical insurance after becoming permanent resident?

Well, I didn't meant welfare. I 've been working all the time since I'm in USA and I intend to do so. But ,unfortunately, for an immigrant it's kind of hard to find a well paid job right away. Welfare and medicaid are different things.

Getting free medical insurance after becoming permanent resident?

As far as USCIS is concerned they want to be sure you are NOT dependent on the state for support , so it would be best not to ask about this in an interview and if you are receiving and govt. or municipal spnosrhsip and did NOT mention it on the I-864/ or I-485 do NOT bring it up at the...

    medicaid after getting a GC

I got my GC through my husband and I need to know if I can qualify for a free medicaid. When you submit Affidavite of Support when applying for GC, does it mean you can't qualify? Thank you for any input.

Anyone been approved in Garden City, NY, recently?

Hey, we also have our interview on June,19 ( 9 a.m. ) at Garden City. I don't think they stamp passports there anymore. But maybe you get a really nice officer who'll do it for you as an exception. My passport is expired so I won't get a stamp anyway. My major concern is FBI clearance. Don't...

For all of us with an Interview date in June-July

I can't believe immigration officers can be so nasty, the way she treated you is unacceptable. This is a clear case of USCIS abusing their power. I think she wouldn't have behaved herself like that if your lawyer had been there. I know it's easy to say but try to get yourself together...

Hi, when I was for my fingerprints appointment back in January it took quite long time for the technician to take my fingerprints 'cause the prints would not appear to be clear. Then they were looked at by his supervisor and only after her approval they emailed it to USCIS. I spoke with the...

    Family based application questions

As far as I know, you get LUD every time they are dealing with your files, updating information, sending notices or RFEs, receiving additional stuff from you like response to RFE,or information on your fingerprints and name checks etc... It's hard to tell the exact reason what they are doing...
