Working in State A while the H1 is applied in State B

Hi,

I would really appreciate any help on it.

I have joined a desi consulting company in state A, this company has applied for my H1 transfer from state A.

Now I'm working for a client which is in state B. Would it have any problems with my H1 transfer.

Please advice.

Thank you so much for your reply.

My consulting company attorney does not feel the need of applying for LCA amendment. He says that our consultants can work any where in U.S and it is not a problem. He also gives some examples of other consultants working in different states while keeping their H1 LCA in the state where the company HQ is located.

Should I trust him or is it a legal requirement to apply for LCA amendment to let INS know that I'm working in different state.

Please advice.

After obtaining LCA do we need to file amended petetion with INS or it is not required.
in my case my company after reducing salary , company obtaianed new LCA and filed amended petetion.

For adding additional locations H1 amendment is not required. For salary reduction h1 amendment might be required.
