work permits and working abroad

The thing is, we don't want to marry outside of the U.S. and the way to do so in the U.S. was the k1 as far as we saw.
You can get married inside the US and still go for an immigrant visa. Just enter the US with your visa or visa waiver, get married, have your spouse file the I-130 specifying the most convenient consulate in your country, and return to your home country to wait for your time to be interviewed at the consulate. Then once you interview and get approved, when you land in the US you are instantly a permanent resident eligible to work.

I agree with NKM. As long as you are not working for a US based employer, you can work for your Dutch company remotely. You are not accepting employment in the US. You keep working for your Dutch employer, while you are physically in the US. It's different.

Tax payments are a separate issue, though.

Dead wrong. Working in the US while getting paid for it is accepting employment in the US, even if the payment is coming from outside the US.

I can see now why I couldn't find my answers on the internet... Sometimes it feels like the laws and regulations haven't caught up with the possibilities the internet opens up.
