Will OPT get cancelled if H1 is approved

Hi,
Can somebody pls let me know if OPT gets cancelled if H1 is approved. Currently say I am looking for a job and I am on OPT for the next 29 months. Now a company is filing my H1B and I am not sure if I will work with that company immediately. So if I am working for A using my OPT status and if B has filed the H1B, can I still be on OPT and continue to work for A for as long as I want to,

H1B overrides OPT, as far as I know
was the 29 month rule already approved?
does your employer participate in e-verify?
Are you completely sure you qualify for the would-be 29 month period?

Hi Sunny....im in exactly same situation...employer A has filed my H1...its an IT consulting company now since I can get OPT extended to 29 months i want to work with employer B on OPT and not H1....is there a way I can pull back my H1 application.....were u able to find some info from other sources..thanks.....may be we can be in touch over emails....my email is immig1234@gmail.com
 
If you filed H1 with change of status, your OPT gets void as soon as H1 start date comes.
 
wats guarantee that you are going to get selected via lottery ?
Its better to keep all options open ...
 
hi.....i filed for my H1B this april....now since OPT has been extended...i dont want my H1....can I myself as an employee pull back my H1B application before the draw or even after the draw so that I dont get my H1.....is it possible to do it without informing my employer....if yes then what is the procedure.....
