Will no income but having a joint sponsor still be an issue?

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum but here goes.

I'm an American citizen currently living in Thailand with my Thai wife of a little over 2 years (married in Thailand).

I came here to be with her till she finished up school, and while here I decided to get a degree myself which i should finish in no more than 2 years.

Well we eventually we would like to move to the states together or separately, her first if possible as she has already completed her schooling with a masters degree.

So the question is how do i go about helping her get a green card? I don't have any recent 'income' as i can't work in Thailand much less make adequate money here, but, my father who has more than adequate registered income would like to help me sponsor my wife.

So basically with me having a joint sponsor who can prove adequate income will these things be an issue?

No current recorder income.

Her going back before me.

Both of us currently in Thailand.

If yes or no what is the best course of actions for me to take and what steps should i go through as far as applying for her sponsorship?

Thanks in advance, and once again i hope this is in the appropriate forum.
:D

The sponsor (you) needs to reside in the US before she can get a Green Card. The entire point of giving her permanent residence is to allow her to be with you in the United States.

Thank you for clarifying that part, but what exactly are all the options for immigration?

I can understand that i need to reside in the US but i would have assume that there must be some way we can at least go at the same time.

But also can anyone help inform me on the sponsorship portion?

Oh and how long do i have to have resided in the US? Does reside mean that i need to physically be in the States or that i need a house or what?

Ok so once i return to the states i can then do it?

But like i said will no recent work history be an issue if i have a joint sponsor?

Joint sponsor confidential info

I've been asked to be a joint sponsor, which I am OK to do, but will only release my tax return to INS, rather than to any preparation service and the applicant herself. How can I submit the info without having my personal info everywhere? thanks

What is the minimum adequate registered income required for a married couple (one having US citizenship, but one doesn't have) in order to get the green card for the other one who doesn't have it...

If you don't wish to rely on friends and relatives, the U.S. citizen sponsor, or the immigrant if living in the United States with a legal right to work, may have to find an additional job or a job with better pay and benefits. Obviously, improving your financial situation may not be easy.
