Wife with Visitors Visa and Husband a USC..... HELP!!!

I was wondering by the way whether it's possible to apply for the K-1 before becoming a citizen (assuming I know the woman in India to whom I'd like to get engaged and get engaged to her soon).

No, because you are not eligible to file the petition until you become a citizen.

Some additional questions...

TheRealCanadian: Thanks for replying to my post.

I had a couple of additional questions; firstly, just to provide some context again: I'll hopefully become a US Citizen by this July/August (already 4.5 years post-GC). I'm contemplating marriage to a lady in India. And now for the questions:

1) Which scenario below would allow my fiancee/wife to come to the US faster?

Scenario A: I become a US Citizen, go to India and get engaged to a lady there, and then return to the US and apply for a fiancee (K-1) visa for her. I then marry her here in the US.

Scenario B: I become a US Citizen, go to India and marry a lady there, and then return to the US and apply for a K-3 visa for her (What's the processing time for the K-3 application?).

2) If I decide to go to India right now (i.e. about 6 months before becoming a US citizen) and marry a lady there right now, then could I apply for a visa for her as the wife of a GC holder, and then once I become a citizen, could my application be transferred to the queue of citizens applying for K-3s? I'm hoping my "position in the queue" (I think this is also called a ?priority date?) remains the same despite the transfer and I can have her come to the States faster by starting some kind of application now as a GC holder rather than waiting to become a citizen first before I apply.

Many thanks in advance.
