Wife got approved for naturalization

She had an interview at 7:50. We arrived there at 7:40 and the officer called her name right at 7:50. She was asked a couple of questions (ie. has she been out of the country more than a year, when is the list time she went home). She was asked to write a couple of silly things. One of the thing that she had to write is "Today is a sunny day!". The officer asked her whether she wanted to change her name and she said "No". The officer than asked her 6/7 questions out of the pool. At the end of that, she was given a paper with approval. She was told that she would get a letter within 2 months for oath at University of North Florida. She has a very impressisve timeline:

Sent Package on : December 24th
Receipt Date: January 2nd
Priority Date: January 2nd
FP Appointment: February 7th
Early FP Done: January 23rd
Interview ND: February 26th
Interview Date April 9th

No. This stupid lady ("geetha" or something like that) kept insisting that I was from India and I faiked my resume. So I added that a while back to fend her off. I will remove it from my signature effective now!!

YOU are from India, just like Bob Smyth is. Your BS and MBA could be from anywhere. Also they could be from where you claim them to be from but then that does not tell us that you are NOT from India.

You've mentioned something to ravi1985 about photographs of an Indian region he was visiting, so someone is assuming that you must be Indian, since you appreciate a region of said country. By the same standard, I must be a dreadlocked rasta, since I have an affinity with the Caribbean.

You are not the only one surprised here. In an earlier thread that had a topic related to Indian family values with regards to immigration, I chimed in trying to express my view point. Now both sides of my family for the last 10-12 generations were born and bred in India. The same person who insists you are Indian quickly declared me persona non grata saying I am in no position to comment on Indian values just because my family moved after partition to Pakistan in 1948!!! I found that really funny :)

Is there a way for the moderator of this board to block this "geetah" from posting on this board. I don't know what her problem is. May be her indian husband left her or something!!

Cool down tsnbagman... No one ever had problems with Getta except you and I guess she doesn't like people who boast about their MBA or BS coz almost everyone here are educated.... whatever you do as far as money and education is concerned, you are doing for your own good and we are all proud of every immigrants who have done so.

No it is not funny at all. Pakistan and India are not friends. Pakistan is a country that supported and created taliban. It is a hotbed of mischief. Anyone all over the world who is literate or even illterate knows that.
I don't want to go back into history but Indians and pakistanis are not 1 people. We don't have same values. India had to bear the brunt of foreign muslim invasions since 1191 ad (and by the way your last name is identical to the infamed invader who was defeated once and released but came back with the venegeance.)
Our history is 2 histories, 2 different cultures, different values and different peoples. That is why we were created into 2 separate countries.

Tsnabagman walked in for fingerprints before his due date and lied to an immigration officer that he had some business to attend to on that due date. He admitted it here. Then he made harassing sexual remarks. Typical harasser who turns back on the one he harassed and acts with holier then thou attitude. :rolleyes:

While I refuse to take anyone's side (for god's sake, we're all here to help each other), I'll state once again that I see nothing wrong with walking in ahead of time to get FPs done. It does NOT expedite the process, nor does it put an applicant ahead of queue. What's the harm in that?
 
Get off the soapbox, this is not the right place. You want to rant, there are plenty of websites run by hardliners from both sides. This forum is serving a different purpose. I hope you get my point this time round!!!

The holier then thou man comes again. It is just plain history. India and pakistan are not friends - the news about the 2 countries almost always begins with these words. Pakistan is a hotbed of mischief, creator of taliban, ruled by dictatorships and corrupt civilian governments for all of its history. I say you people have more central asian and arabic culture and values.
Let us go back further into history - The muslim invasions of India started with the arabs. Then came Ghaznis and Ghoris, then the mongols. As a result of their oppressions - the indigenous religion of Buddhism disappeared from India - the land of its birth. These are facts. Your holier then thou pretensions don't whitewash it. I can put more holes in your pretensions.

I thought Geetha1 was nice... are you going through those 4 days? Triple Citizen is a good man and yeah there are many indians and pakis living together and are good friends unlike many Indians or Pakis who fight among themselves. What is happening in Mumbai is one example and these things should be out of this forum like others said.
