Hi, I am a US Citizen and my wife is a Taiwan Citizen. We just get married last month and My wife wants to come to the US to visit me for a week in Sept. She has a 10 years B Visa and had entered the US several times before the marriage for business/travel purposes. Can she uses the same B visa to enter the States as she only wants to stay for a week and back to Taiwan after? We are planing to live in Taiwan for few years so she doesn't has any intent to stay here.

Thanks!

Yes, she can as long as she proves she doesn't have any intent to immigrate. This will be difficult since she is married to a USC living in the US. Many times, they will just take her word for it, but sometimes she might be hassled. She should have nothing in her luggage that might indicate she is immigrating. This means no birth certificate, degree, resumes, etc. The point is, she must look like a visitor. She should also take proof of her employment and other ties to Taiwan. Since you have not filed for her to move to the US, that's a bonus.

Yes, she may attempt to enter usign the same B-2 visa.

Best case scenario = An easy POE inspection with permission to enter granted.
Worst case scenario = She is denied entry at the POE and put on the first plane back to RPPRC.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Is there a chance that the officer at the POE knows she is married to a USC? We are not going to lie but it seems she can enter the US as easy as before without any problem if she is not known to be married with a USC.

Thanks

In the absence of an I-130, I doubt the POE officer will know automatically that she is married. However if asked about her purpose of visit, she has to answer"visiting my husband".
Do travel documents issued by RPPRC carry marital status? I am asking since some countries do. For example, my country of birth Pakistan, writes the name of a married woman's husband on
their passports.

Thanks! Her Passport doesn't has my name on it.
