In first week of Feb,2011 Asylum office has received my asylum application, And first week of March2011 my interview done now my attorney says he going to file my EAD end of May2011 appox in 90days , I m wondering how he saying that ,Because i got the letter from asylum office that they going to send my decision by mail and i can apply for EAD after 150 days complete . i haven’t received my decision yet and its almost ONE MONTH 20 days past after my interview has done I m wondering is it possible to apply for EAD before my 150 days completed? which going to complete in first week of july 2011. And how long it takes to get decision from asylum office ? Please friends help me out .You know how its hard to wait for decision and get EAD. Pray requested all of you guys for my decision.

Thank you bigjoe5 and assylum for reply, At least i got the idea any up to date i will post on this forum this is very good platform where we can discuss and get information from people experience which is really helpful i got the idea for asylum interview from this platform and that really worked for me . i feel like you should give more informations on your case if you need help.From what I've seen even though you haven't received the interview letter from the asylum office your clock should basically be running.Even without interview appointement once your case is pending for 150 days you're eligible for working permit.
One more thing, when your case is still pending in asylum office basically you cannot check your clock over 1800 number.You have to go to the office for inquiries.
1800 gives you informations on your case once it's referred.
Other people can correct me if iam wrong.
Anyway if i don't answer to your post maybe you should give more information about it so others can help you out.

HERE IS THE THING I APPLIED FOR I589 TO THE JUDGE ON THE 2 AUG THIS YEAR AFTER 21 DAYS I RECEIVED I797 ON THE MAIL TO FOR BIOMETRICS OF WHICH I DID MY QUESTION IS,I DID NOT RECEIVED ANY INTERVIEW YET IM NOT SURE WHAT IS GOING ON WHEN I CALLED 1800 TO CHECK MY PROCESS I GOT THAT MY CASE IS PENDING BUT IM CLOCK STOP RUNNING,,,,,,I CALLED MY LAWYER TO FIND OUT TODAY SHE TOLD ME WE DIDNT APPLY FOR EAD YET AFTER 150 DAYS IS WHERE WE GONNA APPLY FOR EAD.....IM SO IN A HURRY IS BEEN 3 AND HALF YEAR WITHOUT JOB NO SOCIAL SECURITY NO NOTHING IM
