Lazerthegreat said:Hello Guys! thanks for remembering me.. I am here just watching this forum quietly... but anyone of you is most welcome to PM me and I'd be happy to offer any guidance that I can.
I am NOT approved yet. Little disgusted with this approval issue. However I am anticipating that it would come soon.
Noman: You wrote this thread on friday 10th FEB and incidently it was my birthday...![]()
Noman74 said:Hi Atique,
By Tuesday or wednesday, you will receive another email saying:
"the card order was completed and we mailed the applicant's new card directly to him or her. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this card, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283".
Probably the sameday you will receive a "Welcome Letter". Keep it at a safe place because you might be using it in the future. You will receive the card after 3 days of this email. Expect platistic by next friday or saturday.
Thanks

Yeah, this is proactive:Lazerthegreat said:Thanks guys for your support!!! Its really nice of you all.
Well I have written a letter 2 times to Nebraska service center in the last 4 months.(no response yet) Faxed 2 times into nebraska service center (attention to director) in the last 3 months. Called at Nebraska service center (by using trick of choosing right options on 800#) about 10 times (answer: "your case in process. plz wait). Then called 800 number to file a general inquiry with operator to inquire about my case cuz website shows DEC 2000 cases being processed.
Finally I contacted my congress-woman about it... still waiting for 2 weeks.
This all done in last 3 months.
Any other ideas to be more proactive????????

thankful said:Your best bet is to deal directly with the brass in Washington. I would hire a good attorney who is willing to threaten litigation.
Lazerthegreat said:thankful! I don't really thing that I am at this point yet. As a matter of fact they still have some july 2000 cases pending. I think people like "14kshuhsa" are at litigation stage whose case has been pending since 1997. But contacting washington directly can defintely be done. What exactly are you referring to: "brass in washington"??
thanks
Lazerthegreat said:cody2! are you referring to that email that you send to FBI. my understanding is that they do not give out status over the phone anymore?
cody2 said:Dear Lazer:
You can send FOIPA form to FBI, it is a kind of name checking by yourself. As law gives you te rights to know yourself. They will answer you within a month. Do it.
Lazerthegreat said:Well I actually called the FBI # and the lady told me that they sent back my FP results within 24 hours on Nov. 03, 2005. So CIS has everything to make a decision on my case now....![]()
