What if E visa expires before AOS

I am here on an E visa and have been selected under the DV2010 lottery. I am applying for AOS.

My question is : what should I do if I don't get my GC before my E visa expires?
My E visa expires in July 2010.

Can anyone help enlighten me on this?

If the I-485 has been filed before your E expires, you are legal to stay until it is approved or denied.

Do I file my I485 right now or do I wait till Oct 1 (this was stated in the letter). Or do I wait till the USCIS informs me there is a visa number for me or wait for their instructions?

What should my next step be?

Your next step is to apply for I485 if priority date is current which I think so for DV lottery. Post this under lottery section and you could find more help.

Not for DV2010, since FY2010 hasn't started yet.
