You will receive FP notice within 60 days (personal experience) and after the FP you will receive the card within days. Anyhow your PR status start from the date of approval. Take it easy.

She did not say to me that there is a problem in uploading Biometrics 9 i am expecting that it might be the problem as i have seen this scenario for so many others).
She just is not allowing me to talk anything (because she may be seeing on her system that my case is approved) and she just told that you may receive the Biometrics mail.
Any ways i think it is not the issue to get tensed.
So, could you please tell s hw it happened to you. When did u receive the Biometrics notice after the approval and when did you get the cards after the Biometrics done?
BTW, the approval notice we received for ny wife's application mentioned that biometrics may be requested. When I saw it, I knew something was wrong with biometrics. The person on the phone told me that it was sent to CSC instead of TSC, but I am sure we may still end up with a biometrics request. Anyway, like said, at least we know the issue. If worst comes to worst, you can always go to local office and get a stamp.
This happened to my kids, approval on line, after one month or so FP notice, after few weeks they did the FP and the cards came after one week with the original approval date. If I remember it correctly the issue date is different.

Any idea if they will be any problem if I move to a full time position now before getting the cards? I mean if I move to full time position I need to leave my GC sponsored employer (ofcourse with his consent only)

2 minutes ago I got the email of Card Production Ordered. It's been more than a month I got the Approval Notice. It seems atlast they uploaded my and my wife's Biometrics from CSC.
I think my call to IO paid off. After trying couple of times I got in touch with a decent IO for 3rd time. She said that Biometrics are missing and she will upload them from CSC. Three dasy after the call I got this message.

Could you let me know what number you called and how u explained the situation I mean when you brought up the issue of uploading Biometrics?
As you know, I got my Approval Notice on Aug 12 , Gave Biometrics on Sep 4th and since waiting for the email.

As you have given Biometrics recently, definitely there would have been a LUD on your application, as per the reports from the forums I have seen that people got the card 2 to 3 weeks after the biometrics are done.
My biometrics were given last year. When I called Customer Service, I just told that my and my wife's cases are approved more than a month ago and did not receive the cards. The IO asked me the receipt numbers and just one question "Are your Biometrics done?" I said Yes. So, she told that may be they are with CSC and I will upload them to TSC and you will get the cards in 30 days.and told not to take any infopass appointments for 551 stamp or anything when I asked her about this.
The procedure I followed is:
For USCIS dial : 1-800-375-5283 then select an option.
1. For English
2. Check status/ problem with case
1. Enter number
1. Confirm
3. Report problem
2. Did not receive mail
1. More than 30 days since approved.

I did give my Biometrics last yr in Nov. My PD is Dec 2004, Applied 485 during jul/aug 2007 , gave biometrics in Nov 2007.
My 485 approval notice was sent on Aug 12, 2008 and got Bimometrics notice code 2 ( digital picture, signature, right index finger print ) which were given on Sep 3. I got LUD on Sept 10 with out any change in the status.
I will call in on Monday and see what they tell me...
I am not worried much as I am not in hurry to get the physical green card as I already have the approval notice and can get a stamp if need be.

That's true.
But at teh same time as you have given the needed Biometrics, you will get the aphysical green card by the end of this month.
hiUS, we have finally received my wife's card on 9/19/08. Thank god all information is correct on the card. It seems like our GC journey is ended for good. I wish you all good luck. Never give up, don't get demotivated by horror stories you hear or read. Bad things sometimes happen, but not most of the time.
