4/5/3 update

Code:
Approved/Completed Count	239
Denied/Withdrawn Count 4
FP sent Count 7
Misc Count 7
Received Count 56
Resumed/FP recvd Count 131
RFE recvd Count 27
RFE sent Count 10
Transferred Count 35
Grand Count 516

2 cases moved/picked this week. Kinda slow

5/10/03

Slightly better week this time around, picked towards the end, but still slow, hopefully next will be good.

Code:
Approved/Completed Count	245
Denied/Withdrawn Count 4
FP sent Count 7
Misc Count 7
Received Count 52
Resumed/FP recvd Count 129
RFE recvd Count 26
RFE sent Count 9
Transferred Count 37
Grand Count 516

4 fresh cases picked (2 went from RFE recvd to resumed), and 6 got approved. Averaging to less than one a day, which still leaves us with a good almost 1 year wait at this speed.

5/20 Update

Code:
Approved/Completed Count	250
Denied/Withdrawn Count 4
FP sent Count 7
Misc Count 6
Received Count 52
Resumed/FP recvd Count 128
RFE recvd Count 26
RFE sent Count 8
Transferred Count 35
Grand Count 516

It's going at a steady pace of 1 approval a day, and 1 fresh case picked every 2 days. There are a 4 repeat FPs, so never touched cases are 124 right now. ... unless we get those magnificent 7, we're in for a looooooooooooooooong wait even at this stage.

250 approvals at last.

Code:
Approved/Completed Count	250
Denied/Withdrawn Count 4
FP sent Count 7
Misc Count 7
Received Count 51
Resumed/FP recvd Count 128
RFE recvd Count 26
RFE sent Count 8
Transferred Count 35
Grand Count 516

The first ever approval on this day was 6/11/2002. Given that INS was doing nothing from Nov. to February, and hopefully that won't repeat, it took INS 8 months to reach the half way mark. A the current speed, we're looking at I think 6 months, given halflife probability, if you are still unapproved, assume 3-4 months.

Though hopefully INS will speed up, this week was a disappointment otherwise.

5/30 Update

Code:
Approved/Completed Count	252
Denied/Withdrawn Count 4
FP sent Count 7
Misc Count 7
Received Count 50
Resumed/FP recvd Count 126
RFE recvd Count 25
RFE sent Count 10
Transferred Count 35
Grand Count 516

2 cases moved in 5 days .. that is pathetic. We've had 2 sucky weeks in a row.

gc0299, one case a day is the speed that .. that excel sheet I made sort of reflects upon. 2 instead of 5 (in 5 days), your time increases by 60%.

However, there seem to be a lot of signs that 485 approvals will speed up in near future.

that's means no approvals in the 02-046 series for the last 3 weeks...anyways thanks SM for the updates even though I feel dissapointed after every one

Yea but some RFE activity .. look @ kashmirs thread .. there have been approvals in the last 2 days.

I have a question :
One of my colleagues told me that there is a huge spike in the number of applications received in Nov, 2001.
And not as many in dec, jan, march etc,
Is this true? If the JIT ever moves from Nov to dec can I assume that JIT moves faster from then on because of fewer cases.

Thanks

mango, sort of .. !! Though kashmir project can give you way more info. The spike is present, but not "HUGE".

i disagree

It infact was a huge spike in no of cases.
There were close to 6000 cases in November. Jan Dec is huge spike with approx 3000 cases....
In March 2002 there was a spike of 3000 cases.. after that there was tinkering of cases <500 per month.. due to meagre I-140 and labour approvals after that there is a huge spike when concurrent filing was announced Around Oct 2002 there wre 1600 cases...
This is based on Kashmirs analysis. Hope this helps

November cases are twice or more than other cases. It is a huge spike

October 2001

December 2002
101/2130 cases approved
Jan2002
87/2809 cases approved
102/2776 cases approved
March2002
118/4162 cases approved
April
91/3184 cases approved
May
73/3035 cases approved
June
57/2703 cases approved
July
2/172 cases
August

September

Total cases uptill here=29870

I would like to know why they aren't touching nov 21 cases. Wish an IIO visited this forum once a while to post some answers. (When's the next AILA meeting?)
