I bet it's just a trick to pull something off in the court case, is the next hearing soon?

joyd

They did not do for Nebraska[May 2002]/Texas[May 2002]. Can see lot of approvals in the coming weeks from Vermont.

It must be the suit filed by Rajiv Khanna & this site ...

joyd ... you are right on! USCIS must be playing with the dates for the next hearing ...

I-485 RD-Nov.2002-case status enquiry

it is very bizzare, the posted date was Oct. 21, moments ago, now it is still Oct 06.
USCIS accepted my case status enquiry(I-485 RD-Nov.2002)! They aren't seems to be confused about the update.

How did you post the enquiry?
I called the national Customer service-18003755283. Rep. took every detail from DOB to day time phone number to A# and asked me to wait for 30 days!!!

Great, the slowdown for the rest of us has already begun :).

What an Inquiry in USCIS truly is

1) Its an employment generator during these bad days of economy

2) The person taking your inquiry is using the same web site that you use.

3) Your inquiry is hand-written into a piece of paper

4) THEY SAY ...they finally collect all these paper pieces and hand it
over to someone at Vermont, say. I think that's a LIE...HUGE LIE.

They don't. And even if , an exceptionally good person does it,
the Service center looks at the collection of paper pieces and
trashes it.

In other words, initiating an inquiry, calling up National Customer
Center etc...is a PLAIN WASTE OF TIME.

If any of you, by now, haven't yet realized this, its time for you to change
your job and work at the Phone Desk of the Service Center.

To be the devil's advocate.
I had twice enquired my cases (EAD and AP) and i have gotten approved with in a week after my case inquiry. You should initiate a status inquiry regardless of what the outcome is. May be its worth it sometimes.

thoughts on the latest I-485 date...

I'm still skeptical about the change to 06/01/03 for I-485 processing but...

...note that this date implies that they could reach the end of October 2003 cases in 5 months (less if they continue at the pace they've had recently).

And, according to the "VSC is using 2 locations" thread (http://boards.immigration.com/showthread.php?t=147404), the 2nd location is handling April - October 2003 cases and they are supposedly aiming to finish those by March 2005. That's 4 months from now which does seem to align nicely with the latest published processing date...

ETA-GC,

5 month for october 2003. You must be joking. The next update in 15 days will show a jump of another 6 month i.e December 2003.

Heh -- that would be nice :).

Unfortunately, even with today's huge jump, the average change in the processing date for I-485's since 03/03/04 is about 2.5 days of progress per day elapsed so it's probably more likely for it to jump by 40 days or so.

Check the dates again!

You mean the jump, then the fall, then the long jump again for a few hours ... and then the fall again?!! :D

Why can't they finish 2002 applications before they move to another year? It is amazing how sporadically these people work. No rules no policies. Whatever and however and whenever they like. There is no word of responsibility in their vocabulary. Puzzled.

dates back to Nov 2002

what in the world is going on here... I see dates backed to November 2002

Some child hacker ...

Some high school dude must have figured out a way to play with this ...

... that's the best explanation I could come up with!
