Modified Program

This program will exit as soon as access is denied or you are locked out by BCIS and will indicate EAC number at which you were locked out. May be helpful if u don't wan't to constantly watch the scan

Re: Vsc 485 Case Status

Here is some data of Feb 2002 NDs.

Got the data psoted by JAN-MMII for 100, and 102-105 series. Not sure if they are complete although they appear so.

I did 164 series and is complete.

EAC02-100 (up to 53807)
eac02-102 ( to 54163)
eac02-103 (to 53714)
eac02-104 (to 53652)
eac02-105 (to 53095)
eac02-164 (to 53296 - complete, total 507 485 cases)

I'll be posting my scan results and report time to time.
I was able to scan only for partial jan 2002 ND cases. If there are more people to scan and share the results, we can cover more period and have a better picture.
I know many are benefited from this forum. It is time for you to contribute. Spare just 15 minutes a day to scan minimum of 1000 cases and you can pick all 485 cases for a day in just 5 days max. On average there are 300-450 485 cases for a day.
.................
Hope to see some volunteers.....

EAC Question

Can some one explain how the EAC number is generated by the INs

for example I know that that if my number is EAC02227xxxxx

EAC is for VSC
02 is in the year 2002

227 is the 227 th day since their year beginning (Am I right in this assumption)

But my ND (notice date) for 485 is 26 june 2002 (which is the 177th day of year 2002) and my RD is 24-June 2002.
so I am confused , as to how they arrived at the number 227 for my EAC number. If they start their calender in 2001, when do they start it.

Thanks a lot

Phalgun

BCIS calendar starts from Oct 1st every year (001). And 6,7,8th numbers denote the nth day (excluding holidays) your receipt was generated ie Notice date. There are other threads that explains more on the convention of EAC numbers

02-111-xxxxx completed

Guys,

I've completed scanning EAC numbers for 02-111 series.
Going to start 02-112 series now.

I have volunteered for EAC02-105 and have few questions..
1. Whats the max limit I can give in one scan 50000-5???? before being locked out/denied access
2. What if I am locked out/denied access..!!
Thanks

vijayrc,

1. From my experience, you can scan about 1000 cases.
2. You won't be able to scan for about 2-3 days.

RickZ
