SESE Process times

Hi budct,

some of the responses they give are standard responses. When I called last time they told me I should wait another 2 months for my application to process and it has been only 15 days since and they are already processing Jan middle and so they should theoretically not take that much longer to process the applications for rest of Jan. Also why are you saying Philly DOL sucks as they have started processing applications much faster in last month. Infact they are processing Mar middle applications at the moment and so the applications are getting processed in less than 60 days now. Which is pretty good considering only a couple of months back they were taking about 3-4 months.

You should check your status next week and I am sure they will be processing your application then.

Exercising Restraint when it comes to calling SESA

Hi All,

I am sad that I have to bring this up, but since it is something that concerns all of us, I have to raise this issue.

Lately I have noticed that the frequency at which people are calling the VA, SESA offices has gone up to a disturbingly high level and for no apparent reason.

While I understand one's need for information about his/her application, I would advise that please think twice before picking up that phone and dialing that number as it directly affects the processing times for all of our applications. We are indirectly hurting our own cause by clogging the system with avoidable phonecalls.

Since the updates are posted monthly, we already have relatively latest information with a margin of error of around + or - 2 weeks, which is pretty decent I would think. Then why do people see the need to make unnecessary phone calls and disturb the people who are working on our cases so diligently in adverse conditions with abnormally high workloads?

It's very simple guys, there are not enough people to process our applications and thus the horrendous delays in processing times, on top of that add the 50 phone calls a day and you have got your worst nightmare come true.

PLEASE LET THEM DO THEIR WORK, 1 call per week by 1 person from the forum to find out what date they are processing is fine as that is all the informaiton we are looking for.

I hope this makes sense, please post any comments if you think I am mistaken in writing this.

I agree with clzeus10. I think we should cut down our calls to SESA to one per week. Pick a day guys. I think Thursday is a good day and we will see decent progress then. We can start from next week.

Is that Fine with everyone???
slow_lc is that fine with you???

I doubt it makes any difference to SESA wether slow_lc calls one a week or twice a week. As long as the rest of us stop bothering them (including myself). ;)

Could we just let slow_lc continue calling twice a week as we've been all along?

It doesn't make any difference to me, but I thought that others on the list might appreciate twice a week updates to continue - especially those who's date is very close.

Dude I agree with your idea about letting Slow_lc call twice a week and everyone else should just wait for those updates instead of calling themselves.

And for those of you whose dates are closer, my friends, I understand you are anxious but, if you've waited 2 years, what is 2 more days? In fact by not calling you will ensure that the process is going at full speed as they are devoting all of their time in evaluating our applications which in turn will benefit us all.

Posting Req to refrain from calling SESA more frequently

Slow_lc calling or any volunteer calling once/twice a week apart, it will be better if every once in a while we post a 2-3 line message stating who is calling and asking others to refrain from calling. Otherwise, given the number of messages posted each day, it is very likely that new users of the forum will not see the request to refrain.

Guys,
Everything u guys suggest makes perfect sense. So I will keep calling SESA every TUE and FRI.

Also as suggessted I don't mind posting a message everyday to let others know that I will be updating the Status every TUE and FRI.

Phil.DOL

hello Va Labor
I was not referring to the speed of Phil DOL.But I am concern about non approval of SESA approved applications which gone up considerably. That may result in disappointment to our various intellectual friends who are patiently waiting for their turn since long time and contributing lot in the progress of america .
May Gos bless all with success !!!!!

Hi,

I have followed this thread and found very helpful to me. However there are some terms I do not understand and could someone please explain :

1. I found in the list somebody have been "moved to pilot program" . What is it ?

2. Some cases marked as "PHIL DOL" . What is it ? I though our LC processing is only processed by VA SESA .

My receipt date is 15 Jan 02.

Thank you

1. I found in the list somebody have been "moved to pilot program" . What is it ?

Ans: Some cases were transfered to a pilot program started by DOL for testing the PERM PROG. No one know what happened to those cases and where are they at the moment.

2. Some cases marked as "PHIL DOL" . What is it ? I though our LC processing is only processed by VA SESA .

Ans: labor approval is a 2 stage process 1st stage it is approved by the state labor Dept and 2nd stage it is approved by the Federal labor. So for all of us after the VA SESA approves it the applications will be transfered to Philly DOL for Federal approval.

My receipt date is 15 Jan 02.

You are next in line for state approval. Good luck...

slow_lc please continue with your calls to SESA..... So will we be getting an update today????

budct,
the whole process is like a lottery depends on who wins each day on if it is their lucky day. It is frustrating but none the less the uncertainty makes it exciting :D
Just trying to get a few laughs out of the whole thing ;)

Everyone this is the best and the most informative thread I hope we can keep ti up and continue it to the DOL process as well...

yes I am 100% agree with you dear. In another word we are responsible for all that delay. Please friends limit your call once in a month, try to understand random call will not speed up our process.
I wish nobody upset with me.
Thanks

I agree that we should limit the number of calls to VA SESA. Two times a week is more than enough

UPDATE

Just Called up VA SESA:

Processing
RIR : Jan 17th 2002
Non RIR : Apr 30th 2001

Looks like they have slowed down.:(

I got a query and it is a wage issue...
The person who was processing my case was Kimberlee Brooks.
Whether anyone know, how that is going to affect me?
Anybody aware of this?
How come this is happeneing!
What is the minimum wage limit for filing green card?

Shsb

details....

Can you post the details of your RFE about the wage that you mentioned??

At times, SESA sends RFE about wage mentioning that the wage indicated in the LC form is less than the prevailing wage for that position in that city/county/state.

If it is less, the company can increase the wages mentioned in the LC to match the prevailing wage for that area and respond back. It would then be approved.

Good Luck
