what is EB2 and EB3

:)

Dear friends:
Thanks for doing all this great job. Please anyone let me know what is EB2 & EB3. My Labor has been filed from northern virginia in December 2002. My LC filed as " Junior Network Administrator "
I would like to know in which am I, in EB2 or EB3 catagory?

Orissa:

EB2 and EB3 are classifications for assigning us 'preference'. So a person who classifies for EB2, has a higher preference, and thus a higher chance of getting a green card. I forget the details, and what the criterion are, but if you are a Junior Network Administrator, then you are most likely EB3. To be EB2 - you need some sort of advanced degree, such as PH.D., or some other training etc. that sets you appart from the rest of the applicants.

This is probably not a very accurate description - but hopefully it gives you a general idea.

Urgent - Please Read

All the RIR Cases has been denied in Phily DOL. So, after waiting for so many years, they will simply reject all the IT Industry related RIRs.

The reason they say is: They want to retest the market now. Everybody filed their cases sometime in 2001-2002. We had very good market that time. Buy Phily says, they want to test the market now!!!.

How is it possible? It is not legitimate and not a way to treat lot of talented guys like this?

So, no point in discussing and waiting for your approval at DOL Phily.

Just cross your fingers and keep quite!!! Don't plan your life changes until your case has been approved by Phily DOL.

Also don't waste your time and eagerly waiting for the response from Phily DOL......

Better, lets check when will they move Non RIR Cases. They are still processing April 2001 cases. Only god knows how long it will take to move the papers??? or Who KNOWS WHAT LAW THEY WILL IMPLEMENT IN THE MEANTIME.

I don't have any intention to disappoint anybody.... This is the thing happening now....

My RIR LC was filed on Dec 01, software engineer position. It was recently certified by Phil. Please go to Phil thread, as far as I know, quite some other people's RIR LC are certified as well.
 
This is happening for very few people....

Phily DOL has been doing this since March 03.

If you get certified, you are the luckiest person in the world!!!

This sounds pretty strange, since from our company too an RIR was certified end of last week.

This is called "Threadcrap" go vent your frustrations some where else, whatever the motivations are behind your so called information. BTW looks like complete Bullshit to me.

Hi,

I checked with SESA again today, and once again Mr. Chapman assures me that they should start processing my application soon. I think next time I'll ask what date they are processing for those applications in my queue. Maybe it's different? :confused:

I just checked with DOL, and they said, mine is in process, but not yet sent to PHILY, I think they are processing 17th Jan then...

SESA

I contacted Richmond office for my case and was told that my case was received on Jan. 28, 2002 and so it will be processed accordingly. They are working on 01/14/03 and it may take another 15 days for my apllication. Let us hope they keep up the speed in coming days. It was frustrating to note about Phil.DOL, but we are helpless.We have to keep our fingers crossed and wait for our turn.
