Why don't you call up Richard Hass at 703-813-1333 and he should be able to give you ur status. All he needs I guess is your Name
 
703! Which area code is this? Is there another processing center besides Richmond? Hmmm...

finally - some info

I got my case number (finally) and called VA SESA. They just haven't got to it yet. He said they should get to it soon though.

Update for Richmond Cases !!!

I called up the officer processing my case in Richmond. Here are the facts guys:

1. There is only one person working the Richmond applications and he is overloaded at present. There are 12 people working in Northern VA cases. Thats the reason they are 6 weeks ahead.
2. He is still processing Nov'01 (Delay due to the Apr'01 backlogs).
3. There are about 25 applications in Dec'01 for him.
4. He expects to reach Jan'02 cases by June 1st week.

He asked me to check back by Jun'03. So I will update you all in Jun'03 after the call.

This means?

Hi,
Does this mean that the cases filed from Northern Virginia are not processed in Richmond? If not, then where are they processed?
 
Even I too filed my case from Virgenia and when I contacted
SESA officer , he said my name is not present in their database, He almost spent 15 mints in trying to figure it out my case .

My attorney filed it in Dec 2001.And he is not willing to give my case number , it is againt the company policy.I hope she is filed my case.If not all my waiting since 1 1/2 year time would be vain.

At this moement I don't know which one to trust.Guys could any
body give some suggestions how to track down my case would be really appreciated.

LcDecade, I might be considering finding another lawyer. They should provide you some verifiable evidence that they filed your LC - even if it is against their policy to provide you with the case number (which seems strange to me). They should be able to provide some sort of proof.
 
Hi all.

First off, thanks to the people who have been providing information on this site -- its been a big help.

I thought ppl might get some use out of the following.

I'm currently going the RIR route here in Virginia (Chantilly area so presumably its being handled by the N.Va. office?). My receipt date is/was January 4, 2002. Based on the information from this thread, I called to see what was up and it had indeed been processed. I used the phone number from the receipt of application letter (804-236-2708) and I got through almost right away. After a wait of about 1 minute the same woman who answered the phone initially asked me for my case number and name and gave me the scoop.

My case was processed last week (the week of April 21). I was told that they had found a "deficiency" which had been reported to my attorney. I just this morning heard back from my attorney and the problem is with the wording of the internal posting for the job. From what I can tell, this shouldn't be a big deal. We'll need to redo the post, leave it up for 10 days, then update the DOL. At that point, hopefully things will continue where they left off.

I guess the most encouraging thing in all of this is that the RIR application hasn't been rejected outright, at least so far.

Any updates on the processing date?

There is another thread with the same name "any updates on Virginia LC", which is a bit confusing.
