Hi,

I applied my State labor in 10/2001 (EB3). Sent to Phily DOL on 1/2003. DOL back to SESA regarding the Requirement of new advertising for the job in 3/2003.

Now Sesa says they notified my laywer for the new job advertisement clipping.

My Quesion:

1. Once they receive the new advertisement response from my lawyer, what is the usual process take place?

2. In this scenario, do I have to start the process from the beginning or they SESA will verify the lawyer's response and forward it to DOL?

3. Once Phily DOL Receive the response, how do they process? Do I have to wait again in the queue or they will give some preference?

I am desperatly looking for answer for my above queries. Thanks in advance for you guys taking some time to respond.

Any new updates today

WOW!! I am impressed that SESA has moved so fast on the rest of Dec dates. Hopefully they will keep the pace up for the Jan cases as well. John have you called SESA today?? Does anyone have any update on their case for Dec.

I tried calling Philadelphia 215-861-5250 , they gave another number in automated menu which is
215-861-5286. That number was busy for long time and nobody is answering it now.:mad: :confused:

Regional Processing Times(This reflects the date the application was received by the state) as sept 2002 and my application date is Dec 2001 is it already done? :mad: . According to VM at phily FIFO is scheme that means these dates are when they receive application and not when state receives it. :eek: . So I guess I have 6-8 months more to go.

processing date

OK, I am getting excited here.

I just checked, and they are currently processing January 4th!

Do I need to go through my lawyer to find out about my status, and get my case number?

I'll keep you all posted.

Mine is on 17th Jan 2002. Hope they jump to that date soon and I hopefully get an approval...
Anybody know how long it is taking in PHILY now???

All the besta nd do keep us posted on your case status. You did a wonderful job in keeping us all informed on the processind date.

Now its time for someone else to take over the charge. Any volunteers?

Processing dates in DOL

The processing time in DOL at the moment is about 2 months. Do keep us posted of your case.

How is it 2 months?. If they are processing now sept 2002 wont it be like 6 months more?.:confused: You mean I will be done by July?. what is speed of them?. I guess now I am in second queue after SESA at Phily.

In any case you should have case number with you. So get it from your lawyer.I guess after SESA you get some kind of ETA number( lawyer gets transmittal notice - I haven't got mine yet ) . My lawyer says don't bother calling Phily DOL, They don't like that plus they have lousy(busy) automated phone system.
Only thing is to watch for any RFQ.hopefully you won't get any and smoothly it goes to phily. Obviously RFQ can be generated by Phily too :( so don't get excited and sit tight.

please update your status. Are you gone to phily yet?

Hi,

I still haven't heard about my application. Hopefully it is going on to Philly, but the suspense of not knowing is killing me! :)

I'm not so confident in my lawyer at the moment. I told the paralegal I had heard they were processing Jan. 4, and she was baffled how I could possibly know this, since the web site she uses was still saying Nov. 2001. I guess the thought of calling SESA never crossed her mind.

Somone was asking how we could know how long Philly DOL is taking. I was observing the Philly DOL forum, and it looks like several people have been processed in 2 months recently - however they are all EB2. I don't know if this makes any difference, but it made me wonder (especially since I am only EB3).

UPDATE

Still Processing 4th of Jan 2002(as 12.00 P.M. E.S. T). :( .
Hopefully they do not slow down in January. Next update in Fri.

Thanks for the update... The total number of applications received in Jan 2002 were 450 so it should be definitely faster tan Dec in which they received about 550 apps.

Date Discrepancy

called Richmond around 2PM, asked lady about my case status.She said still processing Dec2001, your case is in Jan will take some time. Why we have these contradictions, some dates posted on forum says They are processing Jan4th ,whereas the lady in Richmond office says they are still processing December?

I have been watching this forum for a while and it is really helping me with good info. I spoke with my lawyer and as someone else stated earlier the lawyer's page is still in Dec'01.

I applied for GC in VA on 09-Jan-2002 (EB2/RIR).
