The processing slowdown is just so depressing... makes you wonder how many of them are working on RIRs...

This indeed depressing. I talked to Richard Prames and he told me that it will take them another 2 months to get done with Dec 2001 and Jan 2002.

still no progress

I checked again today and they are still on Dec. 13th.

Its hard to imagine how any place - even a government office - can do so little to remidy such a frusterating problem, and face No consequences themselves. I can't even imagine working at a place where your managment is accountable to no-one. You'd think that someone somewhere should have the responsibility of making sure these types of backlogs are dealt with quickly - but I guess this would require the VEC to actually care about the people they are suppose to be serving. :rolleyes:

It sure feels good to vent every now and then. :)
 
PERM/VA LABOR

Any body knows anything about PERM?
How and where it stands at this point of time???

Wow! You must have called them only minutes before I did.

The guy I spoke with told me Dec. 17th, so they must have people working on both of these dates.

Sure is a pleasant surprise!
 
Yup. That indeed is good news. Looks like 7 more days to go in Dec'01(24th and 25th were holidays). Hopefully they finish Dec by end of April.
 
Pending labor before Dec-01

Hi!

Anybody out there from Oct or Nov, 2001 whose State labor is not yet certified. My labor was filed in end of Nov 01 and yet not certified.

Guys, any idea what should I do. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I sure wish there was something we could do - especially for your case. Unfortunately I think we are at the mercy of the VEC. I find it appalling that they coldly take there sweet time while you are left in the dark wondering what is happening. Either these people have no clue how traumatic it is for us to wait so long, or they just don't care. Have you asked your lawyer if there is anything to be done?

SESA monitoring

Do you guys think there is any chance that people from VEC might be aware of, and even monitor this forum? I just got to thinking that some of my comments have been very critical of VEC, and I'd hate for them to have any reason to have a grudge against me. As long as my approval is pending, I'm not sure I'd have the guts to say these things to there face if you know what I mean. With the lack of accountability these guys have, who knows how they'd treat an application from someone as discusted with them as myself. I guess I can hope I'm not the only 'john' with an application date of Jan 4th right? :)

My friend apply sep 4 LC approved April 4.
Now his lawyer asked him if he had filed any other petition ? if not then he have to have his Interview in his home country.Before applying for LC he had Political asylum pending.
Any advise will be appreciate

Processing dates

They are moving that is indeed good. We should check the status twice a week once in the begining and once at the end of every week. Just so that everyone remains updated in the thread on the movement.

Thanks John for your efforts on keeping us all posted. The days are numbered for you now. Another GOOD NEWS is that DOL is processing the applications in 2 months

This seems too good to be true, but I just checked, and VA SESA says they are processing Dec. 27th!
