Hello Everyone I am back

I jast called SESA for an update the guy told me that my case has been forwarded to Philly DOL it was sent on 9th June 2003 and they are currently processing 15th Feb 2002 - RIR

The lawyer forwarded a letter from the VEC stating that my case has been moved to Philadelphia for Processing on June 11 2003.

It took 1 year and 5 months to break the rock.

My best wishes to you all for a smooth state labor processing.

Effects on Labour certification if company is purchased by another company ?

Dear All

If the company through which LC is filed is bought by some other company, does that affect LC ?

HI VVM,

My company was merged by another company recently. The attorney said if my company still maintains its own tax id and still assume its financial legal responsibilities, no action is needed. If the company is bought, and the parent company takes over all the legal and financial responsibilities, you only need to file a notice to DOL to notify them the change. As long as your position, work location and salary is the same, it shouldn't affect the LC process.

That's what I was told. But check with your attorney to see what kind of merger this is and what notice you need to file.

RIR EB2 , Adv on Sunday a mandatory?

Does RIR/EB2 requires a mandatory advertisement on a Sunday in a largely ciruculated Newspaper or is there any workaround.
Does it mean that people who have got their LC Approved had gone through genuine recruitement effort. Anybody knows anyone got lucky with it
