They told me that it might take 5 weeks to get to my case: nice.

Phil DOL processing date stuck in August for past 4 months. But I did see a lot of November IT cases approved. So it is a guess when they will get to your case.

Keep finger crossed.
 
What is the # to call to check whether your case has been forwarded to the regional office? My date is 11/21/01
 
LCSilence isn't it a bit pessimistic that they will take 5 weeks to move 2 weeks.

can we get to know how many RIR application Virginia labor has for the month of Dec.2001 and Jan. 2002? Actually it seems went very slow during last month due to one or other reason.
Is that because of the sluggish US economy and rise in unemployment ?
I will appriciate views from our senior members on above.

RIR applications

There are approximately 500-600 applications for months of Dec and Jan. Each month is taking about 1 month to process. Hence if your application was received Jan it sould be processed in April.

The processing has slowed down a bit but I believe it is more due to the lack of man power in he state dept to do the processing.

We are holding our breath that is speeds up.

I think the RIR should now move quickly to December 3rd - since Nov 28th to Dec 2nd were holidays (Thanksgiving). December should also move a little bit faster because we had some holidays there too (25th, 31st etc). Let us hope for the best :D :D :D

In 2001 22nd and 23rd Nov were Thanksgiving hence there is such a jump in processing dates. So we still have a week of Nov left. As for Dec the number of days that they have to process is less but still the number of applications received were just as much as any other month. But we all can hope that they will process dec and Jan faster than the rest.

still on 26th

My colleague called up VA SESSA and spoke to Mr. Richards to enquire abt his labour cert. Richard said it will take another two days to open his case for review.

That means its going to take a while before they complete 26th and move on to remaining days in NOV. But keep the spirit..thank god things are moving.
