Mine was sent to Philly on Aug 25nd 2002. (my Reciept date from VEC was June 22, 2001.

I called 804 236-2708 (got right through)
3751 Nine Mile Rd, Suite C
Richmond, VA 23223

was asked my name, company, & or case #

140 & 485 together and related...

All,

I had a question, now that I140 and 485 are allowed to be "filed" simultanelusly..., what impact does this have on the 485 + "6 months non-adjudication clause" which makes it possible for h1-b holders to change employers, provided they remain in the same category of their application.

Question is...
1. Is it true that since one can now apply for both of them together, one can get to the 485 + 6 month stage earlier than before.

2. Earlier, as 485 followed 140, this stage was reached ONLY AFTEr your 140 had completed, and you had applied for 485 and 6 months had passed with no adjudication (read App/No Appr response) from INS. However since now both can be filed together and sumultanously, does the 485 rule kick in right then and we stand to benefit from the 6 months clause right then?.
Is this true?.

Does anyone know anything about the same or could point to any source of info, it would be great!.

Called Richmond office today. They are processing

RIR - July 3rd 2001

Non RIR - April 24th 2001

Asked the lady about the number of applications for July 2001, but she did not know the answer.

Since Isetty called today and we know the dates, so keep tight for thes rest of week and let them do some work and some of next in line including me will call on Friday/Monday to find out dates.

Guys who cleared labor and moved on to the next stage..did anyone do a pro/cons of filing for i140 & 485 together? Since this rule is new there is not a whole lot of information on the web, heard from others that attorneys advice against doing the filing together...any info would be welcome...thanx..

Guys,
Got an email from my lawyers that my EB2-RIR Labor application was transmitted from SESA to DOL on Sept 10th.
PD July 2nd 2001.
Any idea how much time does it take at the DOL?

Good speed at SESA

Hi Everybody,
We know that SESA is processing Jul 18 2002. I think we should limit our calls to SESA as we did last week and call at the end of friday to see what dates that they are processing. Though friends in line can call SESA as they will be curious to know when their case is transferred to DOL. So only people who are in waiting should call and post their results in this thread thats what I recommend..

Hi Everybody,
As I mentioned last week that I'll call to SESA on Monday, So Did I. I talked to lady and she said that my case has been sent to Regional ofice DOL on sep 11th, 2002. They are processing July 18th but as you know they are going fast if you all call once a week and let them work.

Its good that you have your case nu in handy and tell them ur case and with in 5 sencond you got status.

Does any body know, how do I check my PD in DOL?
