Usefulness of USCIS phone line?

Hi guys,

You know about my case and now it's been almost 7 months that my case's been there... done my biometrics over a month ago... and my lawyer says I can't speed up any process and he can't do anything...

so I was thinking If I'd call USCIS what should I tell them? what's the status with my case? or why is it taking so long?...

... is it worth to call? or pointless?

on the website is still there at the soft touch (that wasn't notified by email or text) on 9/17

what's your suggestion?

I've read somewhere that by having a lawyer involved in my case if I get an infopass by myself I can end up with RFE for my case... I think I read it here
 
Nobody wants to add anything? I'd really like to call them... but I don't know really what to ask apart from the obvious "why is it so late?"...
 
I know it's been just a month from the biometrics, but almost 3 since the letter and 7 since the shipping... that's why I can't relax so much :) anyway... any good advice on calling them?
