Checking new appliation or renewal does not matter that much

There are ways to get to customer service if you don't have a receipt number. But you have to wait 30 days before calling, or they will brush you off.

Yesterday, there was NO way to get any operator without a receipt number.
My wife took an appointment to local service center for Friday.

So painful.

We managed to have an operator with A#
They won't do anything before 30 days.
But how do they know when the file was sent since there's no receipt number ??

My check was finally cashed, i managed to read the receipt number and looked up online right away. On Uscis website, the electronic post states.

Just received the notice in my mail.

Not really. But I'm not sure what your problem is - you still have a valid EAD, and if all goes well your new EAD will be approved before July 2009.
