My case statues disappeared from the USCIS website on May 16, 08. It was there within a week of my priority date; now, poof, it's gone. Does that mean anything, or is it just a computer glitch on their part? Thank you.

it is unreliable (some say it means they are processing ur case, IL etc), but it is unreliable, and dont depend on it. So much for technology and online etc.

Don't pay attention to case number status. It is a joke. I have already received interview notice, but online status still showing "On April 1st, we received your N-400 ........" It is unreliable.

Welcome to the USCIS Party. Bring your own.
:D:D:D

Yeah, I'm already a citizen -- and have my passport; my case status NEVER appeared from the very beginning.

Thanks all,

for your replies. Well, I guess it's time to join the party. :D:D:D
But I know every time I open the mail box, I hope there is an IL letter. Having some of those delusions can't be that harmful.:)

ah, it means you are now a top secret! :) just kidding! Don't trust that online status. It is unreliable and meaningless. They are working on your case. It could be that your case is being transferred to your local DO- Sacramento from California Service Center or they are sending you an IL letter.

Hope, that's the spirit !!!

My application dissappeared too

My PD for N-400 is June 11, 2007. When I checked my case status online this morning, the system could not find my application. I am really worried about this. I called the USCIS customer service number 800-375-5283, but their reps cannot give me any more info than "it's probably at the district office".

Do you guys think that an infopass appt at the district office would help confirming that my case did not get accidentally dropped or withdrawn? I wonder whether the infopass system could provide any more information than the online system.

Thanks!!

Did your case ever show up online before ? If yes, a disappearing online case status has sometimes been associated with an eminent reception of interview letter so consider it good news if this is the case.
