Urgent - AP question

Hi

My AP is approved on Sep 26th. I need to go abroad tomorrow even though I don't have AP approval document in my hand. The thing is I'll go out and my husband will send it to me later.

But my lawyer said they do not rely on the compuster system (case status check) of BCIS, and they have had many cases that the clients never get the approval document. So they suggest me to go abroad when I get the document in my hand.

My question is

1) Can I go abroad without the document in my hand? (I have F-1 visa)

2) If my AP is not approved in fact even though the computer shows that is is approved, my application for I485 can be cancelled when I leave USA?

3) My departure is informed to BCIS? I mean AP approval is important for departure or re-entry or both of them?

I already bought airplane ticket, and my laywer insists this trip is risky, but I really need to go home due to family emergency. Please help me!! :(

1. Since one of the applicants is still here, I would advice risking your trip.
2. No 485 will not be cancelled. You can still apply for another AP and wait out until that is approved to enter into USA
3. AP creates documentation that gets traced to BCIS only when entering USA. But some airlines insist on a valid visa or AP approval for boarding.

Your Lawyer is correct

Follow the advice of your lawyer;FYI my friends I-140 case on BCIS online status was shown approved 7 months back, 2 months back it showed his I-140 has been Revoked and notice for the reason to revoke was sent, he never received that notice and now again the BCIS Online status is showing his I-140 approved the same date it was showing 7 months back. Due to this wrong info he filed new LC through new employer because he thought his employer revoked the I-140 and employer never revoked the I-140.

I will not believe the BCIS online status and you can’t sue the BCIS for wrong info provided on BCIS case status check. Better get the approved AP in hand before departure from US don’t take the risk.
