I got naturalized last month but haven't gotten around to making the trip to the Social Security office yet. My question is: can I update my citizenship status at any of their offices across the country?

You can deal with federal agencies (except USCIS) anywhere in the country. So, to answer your question - yes.

What was your immigration status 10 years ago. You can carry your US passport and SS card to update the status. You can also check your status of social security benefits after you update.

passport is fine. I am not sure you need to carry the social security card (unless you have one that has the restrictions text). You can take it just in case.
