Updates:Did you file your 140&485 before Sept 30th 2005 retro deadline?

I think if they haven't send u back ur 485 application yet, you should be good.

yep. I have been thinking on similar lines. I did call them up to learn that they wouldn't disclose my own application status to me! I am following-up with my attorney to see whether the checks have been cashed.

Good news. I think things are moving slow but happening finally. Today my checks are cleared from the bank.

Sent to VSC : September 28th
Received VSC : September 29th noon

Checks cased on : October 17th.

Have little patience, it should be done eventually.

I get receipt notice on 10 /03 /2005 [/B] [/B]

Hi Ahamadsm,
First of all Congratulations.
it is a bit confusing, can you explian clearly your dates.
Do you mean that you have applied on Sep 29th Or it reached USCIS on 29th.
And You received receipt notice on 10/03 ???
there was not even 1 working day in between those days. How would that possible.

I see your other posts , in that you have mentioned that you have applied in Jan 2005?

Sept 30th applications seem to be moving a bit now.
I think we shud even go through all the mail in our USPS mailbox and look for FP notice before throwing the junk mail in trash can. :D

Same here, I just throw half the mail without even opening them. Anyways, the fingerprint thingy- is it given even before the I140 approval and what is the big deal about the fingerprints.

I don't think ahamdsm's post is completely illogical. Prior to the frenzied rush in the last week of September, USCIS was sending out receipts one day after receiving applications. So even if they were inundated on 9/30/05 they were probably still sending out a few receipts beginning 10/3/05 and ahamdsm is one of those lucky few. So 10/3/05 probably reflects his notice date. Mine was 10/4/05.

Congratulations to mantar007 and Hiddenmeadow. No such luck for me- no checks encashed yet :(
