Hai GKing, Any Hope of touching Sept\'01 cases?
Just curious to know any hope or info available about Spet\'01 cases? What will be the time frame to say something in possible for them. Mines- ND 09/14/2001 and EB3.

Help in I-140 and I-485 : Criminal records Expunged
I have H1-B right now, applied for I-140(ND:July 2001 @ TSC), might be coming in next month or so, then I will be filing for AOS, Meanwhile before I filed, I got a criminal case of shop lifting which I also done Expungment (First Criminal record erase from public view - still be there for government bodies). As I have done Expungment, do i need to show/tell them that about the my criminal record ? or not ? is there any guys can help me by providing info if they have similar case or know to similar case ?

That is a generic letter which would apply to ANY information that INS might want. As I mentioned, financial evidence of company ability to pay you is VERY common right now, given the economy. It could be for many other reasons as well. You will have it about a week after the message.

I would ask a lawyer, but
If it is still available to governments, it seems that it will show up at some point anyway, so you might not want to hide it. Again, I would seek legal consultation.

My I-140 was approved on 15th. My case was transferred to NSC on 2nd. In fact I had called and spoke to an IIO on 8th. He told me that the case just came and it would take 60-75 days. I pointed out that my case was filed in May in TSC. Should it be treated as a frest NSC case. The IIO was extremely helpful. He kept me on hold for 10 mins to talk to his supervisor. He came back saying that he has assigned the case to an officer and I should hear within 30 days.
I thought it was too good to be true. But within less than a week, my approval came through. I would urge all the of you, whose cases have been transferred to speak to NSC IIO directly.
As many have said earlier, don\'t wait for your lawyer to do anything. They will just do the paperwork. They don\'t have a motivation to do any followup. Pickup the phone, it is worth a try.
I would like to thank Hari, GKing and everyone else behind this wonderful forum. It gave me a lot of information and immotional support. Greak work guys.

I guess only EB3 cases are getting approved and EB2 cases are still left to the mercy of TSC officers.
Did anybody with EB2 case talk to IIO recently. I don\'t know what\'s happening....

Any news about AVM update?
It seems like most of the recent approvals came from those EB3 cases that were transfered to NSC. I know TSC has made a major progress in the past months, and I expect a flood of good news coming out of AVM. Can someone shed some light here?

I am EB3 also, but my ND is 08/30 and I have been calling NSC, but my case number was not found. And I get the same old message at TSC. Any August approvals yet, or any August cases transferred to NSC?
