I-485 approved on July 23?

It seems my case has been approved. I received an email at 10 pm that they have ordered production of my card. Did not receive any LUDs in the past 9 months till just now.

Who knew USCIS works and approves cases at 10 pm in the night :)

I was struck in name check before, and I have to thank President Bush, the FL, and my Congressmen for helping me clear all this mess.

I first had had a randomly picked date early next year, but after reading your post I changed dates to a nearer future one. Thanks buddy for the help.

Normally put travel date in next two months for 2-3 weeks travel (multiple travel)
this gives them enough time for approval.. do it before Yr first AP is about to expire

Congrats! Yes, if only they worked at nights and weekends for poor guys like us :) But I think the reality is that they approved your case earlier today, but the system didn't update all at once. It also explains why most people see their LUD's early in the morning.

Congratulations! Have you ever written any letters to anybody before your approval?

Is there anyone like me who filed I485 in May, 2006 still waiting for the approval? I did not write letter to anybody. I thought the approval trend was close to my RD anyway. However, I am confused by recent approvals. Some of them with PD 2002 which is make sense, but some with PD and RD much latter than my case. My case PD is 10/2003 and RD is 5/2006.

Yes, I did write to President Bush - I sent him a letter in the first week of May. I received a letter from his office in about 5 weeks (i.e., around the second week of June). It was a very nice and friendly letter, which essentially said that they have forwarded my letter to the Dept of Justice/FBI with the instruction that they look into my case and update me about it.

I received a letter from the FBI around mid-June stating that my spouse's name check is complete and mine is in process, and will be completed as soon as possible.

Then, yesterday evening I received the CRIS emails regarding card production order, and today morning I received the approval emails.

I have been waiting since April 06! Last month I got fed up with waiting passively and wrote letters to my congressman and FL. I received a response back from my congressman that they have forwarded my inquiry to congress's FBI office. Haven't heard back from FL's office yet.

yep.

i have been thinking along the same lines as you are :"the approval trend was close to my RD anyway.".. however seeing the recent spate of approvals, I am even more certain that we have to do more from our side. As much as I am happy for those who get out of this quagmire, I am irked that fact that USCIS does nothing to consider the early ones in the queue, before giving approvals to PD's from 2004 on.

Looks like TSC is slowing down. Approvals are still coming but not nearly at same rate as before. Maybe they've used up their quota of visas.
 
Or, another possibility is they may be just taking some rest after doing a lot of overtime work at the end of June. Now everything is "unavailable," they have plenty of time till October. No hurries...

Apparently, CIS has returned some numbers to DOS. I would fear they will end up wasting a lot of numbers at the end of the day.
