TSC Consolidated 485 Tracker

I've received a reply to my inquiry yesterday too. Still in background check as expected. :( It also means that FP notice we've received for our 4yo is nothing. Time to write a letter to the senator. :)

Hi

I have called the TSC to inquire my case. The representative said he could not see any special information. He said he sent out an inquiry on my case and I should receive the response in 15 days. But now, 30 days passed.

How can I do ? Do I need to call them again. My last update still is 09/2006.

Thanks.

You can call after 30 days and ask them directly about status of your inquiry. Usually they respond in 40-60 days to all inquiries.

it does not mean anything ;-(

my experience tells me it is not something you can rely on..

More specifically, my spouse initiated a call to TSC to find the status on her case on 12/04/2006. On the same day, she was advised that she would get a written response within 45 days.

On Mar 1, 2007, we received a letter, dated Feb 27th, by regular mail from USCIS saying that "Stuck in Name check.. apologize for delay...".

The funny part is not that, on Feb 28th morning we had an infopass appt with immigration officer, where in we were advised that she is cleared and pending my clearance.

so try infopass and get the most updated status.

How to make an infopass appointment? If I also want to ask the status about my wife's case, does she need to be there ?

Thanks.

help

Can anyone who has experienced InfoPass please provide an answer for the following question?

Qestion for InfoPass:

How long will it usually be between the dates you schedule an appointment and the appointment? In another words, which date will the appointment be if you schedule an appointment today. Thanks

I tried InfoPass and got the following message

"At this time, there are no information appointments available for the office in your area. Please try back again later."

It is very strange you got this message. I took two infopass which were 45 days apart and did not see any thing which was stopping me. Try again. You may have tried a block of time already taken. Other than this I can not think of any other reason.

Can anyone who has experienced InfoPass please provide an answer for the following question?

I been living in this country for 10 years also. I been waiting for this green card since 6 years nearly. I am too tired/frustrated with this.

Let's keep our fingures crossed ......

This is not fun at all.Seems like Nobody cares about our feelings.......

And i am here in USA since 1996 Jan!!!!!

infopass appt

Go to: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis and you will see a link to infopass. Its pretty straight forward.

I believe your wife needs to be there. But, the officer did not ask for her when I was talking to him. He asked for my spouse's I 485 Notice of Action for the SRC number and he gave me an update after reviewing status in the system.

How to make an infopass appointment? If I also want to ask the status about my wife's case, does she need to be there ?

Thanks.

Folks,

The following people with EB2 LC got approved from PBEC between Feb 1 and Jun 1 2006. I am assuming they had sufficient time to file 485. If you are in this list, please let us know what your latest status is. This will give us some idea how many people are being approved, how many are in namecheck etc.

Most of this kind of information can be found in the TSC tracker spreadsheet(see my sig for a link) or the one in the NSC forum.

I called TSC just now using POJ trick. The representative outrightly told
me that they no longer provide any other information other that what
is already available on the website. I told her that all I know is that I have
filed in June ,06 and haven't heard anything yet to which she said 485 takes anything between 6 months to 2 years depending upon background check etc.She said they don't discuss backgroud checks etc anymore.I asked if Infopass would help and she again said why would I need that when the status is on the website. I had called on 12th of Feb which is when I was told my background check is pending. Is it that they keep track of the calls and don't entertain any unless a specific amount of time has elasped between the calls. My lawyer also had initiated an inquiry on 13th Feb and I haven't heard anything back. This time the lady rep didn't even bother to take my SRC number.

Thanks

Thanks,

I live in area of Norfulk, VA office. It has been one week since my first try and the system still shows no information.

My major question is that if you go to InfoPass website today, which date the apointmnet will be. How long between the time you set online and the date you visit the office?

It is very strange you got this message. I took two infopass which were 45 days apart and did not see any thing which was stopping me. Try again. You may have tried a block of time already taken. Other than this I can not think of any other reason.

Experience with Congressman

Has anybody had a bad experience with contacting a congressman? I asked them to inquire about my case 40 days ago. The lady who worked there said that she will submit the request that day however, since then, she does not even reply my calls and whenever I call and I am lucky to catch her, without looking at my file she says they are waiting for the USCIS response! If these people are supposed to help with the immigration stuff, why is she treating me like this? If they can't do it or they don't want to do it, why do they offer this help at all?

I think I know why!

The reason is that they have other things to do too. If we keep calling day in and day out, yes they will get pissed and the same goes for calling the uscis using the poj trick. If we can find other/better things to do in our life like playing sports and getting hobbies other than the obsession for gc I'm sure things will turn out ok. I can understand if calling would make a difference but it doesn't so how about we sit back relax and do better things with our time. I'm not taunting anyone at all. I feel your agony, just look at my signature. Also I've been here
since 91 and due to lay off's my Labor was cancelled twice before the third one went thru. Hope it releives the pressure on some if not all of us reading this. Cheer up fellows!

She is correct though , usually it takes 4-6 weeks for a congressman (atleast from here in CA) to get a response from USCIS then they mail out that response to you.

Tip: Fax a request to congressman saying 'thanks' and why you think this particular lady at congressman is doing a good job and helping you deal with uscis agency
