Travelling to countries with bad diplomatic relation?

What is the implication of travelling to countries that don't have the best diplomatic relations with the U.S. ?

I am thinking about travelling (for pleasure) to Belarus and some other post-soviet countries. Should I expect any troubles when coming back to the U.S or at the time when applying for citizenship?

There is no problem with you if you are only visited other countries. You can travel without any problem at all about your citizenship.

You might get questioned a bit more rigorously when you re enter the us, though Belarus would be unlikely to raise suspicion. Iran might.
