Hi, I changed status from F to H-1B. My visa is already expired. So can I travel outside the U.S. while I am in the H-1B status, and if I do leave U.S., do I have to get a new visa?

What visa was expired, is that stamp expired or petition expired, and what status are you in now ?

well I had a 2-entry visa, so the date when I could have left and come back expired back in May 2005.

I still could not understand your situation, but short answer is if you have valid H1 stamp, you can enter the US as H1.

Hi, I changed status from F to H-1B.
----------did you got H1 approval with I-94 attached(lower right side of approval notice)?
My visa is already expired.
----------do you mean F1 visa stamp in passport is expired?
So can I travel outside the U.S.
---------- you can go out of US

------------- if you dont have VALID H1 visa stamp in your passport then you need H1 Visa stamp to enter US.
