I think he got approved. I just got a mail from rupnet that telecom guy got approved and his date corresponds with jar-jar's itnerview date.

My EAD is going to expire in 5 months. I am not sure where to apply for renewal. My lawyer told me that I have to apply at
DC office since the 485 is with them. But I already informed them
that I live in NJ. From this thread I understand that they call for interview for ead renewal. Also someone wrote that at arlington,
they dondt even talk to anyone before they see the proof of residence. Since I dondt have any I am thinking they may ask
me to apply at Newark. This is very confusing and not even lawyers seems to know the answer. Please let me know if anybody know anything about it.

I mentioned before that my IV date in arlington is Nov 2003.

I am pursuing it in VA itself. Not transfering to NJ at all. I have proof of residence in VA. BCIS is funny. They transfered my EAD renewal to Baltimore and not Arlington. So got to deal with that problem now...

You should apply for EAD renewal now with NJ address. Wait to see what VSC does for it. If they give one to you directly, then its great, otherwise even if they transfer it to NJ, you are in good condition.

If they transfer it to VA, you can still go to Newark office on 91st day and ask for Interim EAD.....

has our file. Did you apply your EAD at VSC after they
transfered I485? Why did they transfer your EAD to Baltimore?

My lawyer is Sheela Murthy and they applied the EAD renewal at VSC
which I dont know why as her 485 had already been transfered to arlington on 02/28/03.

And now VSC has transfered the EAD renewal to Baltimore for god knows what reason....

I thought I didn't have to do the interview and would get the GC by next month.<----- XXXX WRONG!
And one thing more that make me hopeless is that I found that most of you guys are waiting for more than 7 to 8 months to get an interview.
I am just shocked now.

Don't be frustraited and relax. One day definitely you will get your green card. Don't think much about it and that will give you more frustration/pain. There are many unlucky guys in this forum like you. My RD is Sept'01 and still waiting. Some RD August'01 guys still waiting for the interview letter. I know it is easy to say but you can't do much about it. BTW, where do you live in Virginia? If it is southwest, your waiting time may be longer. I believe those who are living in Roanoke area, won't get the interview letter less than year. You can travel your home country using AP and that's I'm planning for.

I went to Newark office and asked them what happened to my request of transfering my file from arlington. They told me that they put a request for my wife's case file and not mine. They are
telling me that my file is with with VSC although I have a transfer
letter for arlington! I am really worried. They told me that now they are asking VSC to send them the file. It is hard to beleive.
If VSC is has already sent it to arlington, and it is not update by them, it is lost right?. Another thing is i was told that we have to
apply our ead extensions at newark although 485 is in different places. I am not sure whether transfering files from one local center to another is a good idea. If anything happens (good or bad) I'll post it. Thanks, Good luck guys.

Hi ik,

Don't rely that much on their telephone message system or their web site. It is not up-dated. Go the ASC in person. They can tell you if they have received your file and they are normally nice people.

I did go to Newark office and talked to IIO. She told me that
my file is at VSC and not with Washington office although I have
a transfer notice saying it is with DC office. Hope they sort it out.

I hope you can help with a few questions :

a)For your fingerprinting - can one just walk in during the allotted week by BCIS or is there a huge wait in line there ? My 2nd FP is due in Arlington in 1st week of September 2003 ??

b) For the AOS interview, they didnt mention anything about taking the medical again ? Did you or any other guys receive a notice regarding taking the medical again specifically ?

c) My EAD renewal has been approved and I can pickup it up on any wednesday now from Arlington office. Is there a huge wait in line for that also ? Can anybody share their exprience..

With a small child, its a little difficult for me to go and wait endlessly, so I am asking these questions...

If you have appointment, it'll take only 30 minutes. Reach there 10 minutes before the appointment. Usually they will call name alphabetically. I went there 3 times and it never took more than 30 minutes.

MY EAD interview in Arlington was on July 23rd and I couldnt go that date. The letter says that I can appear at 8:00 am on any wednesday after it.
Therefore I was wondering will I have to wait in a huge line ??

In that case, you have to go Room # 210 and get ticket. Yes, waiting time may be 1-2 hrs and then wait few more minutes for EAD appointment.

i am wondering about if we need new medical, also.

as for EAD, actually i went there the week after
the appointment date. and i didn't go to room 210,
instead, the officer let me into the EAD room directly.
