Transcript (showing that I have been awarded a B.S. degree) but no diploma?

Can a transcript showing that I have been awarded a B.S. degree enough? I've been told by my college that the transcript is the official document.

The reason why I'm asking is because I don't think I will get my diploma in time.

It depends on the POE. Generally speaking CBP and USCIS will want to see the diploma, not a transcript.

Most will accept the Transcript. But be prepared for rejection. I would not be pessimistic on this, and certainly would not wait until I get the Diploma. The regs do not require diplome, they require the "degree", which can be shown on the transcript.
