BTW, even if the ticket was issued by camera, the person who reviews those videos is trained officer, i believe, so it IS a moving violation
If it appears on your DMV record, then it's a moving violation. If it doesn't, then it's not.

It's a criminal infraction in CA and therefore the OP must disclose it.Don't mention it, this isn't a moving violation. Since it is a red-light camera or speeding camera, why are you worried? I see no moral dilemma for you, how will the IO know about your speeding ticket?

I predict that other states in financial difficulties will eventually follow the CA model as well.Bob,
I see why CA has financial problems, speeding in your vehicle can be classified as a criminal infraction for the purpose of ripping your nuts out of your money....? I am glad I live in the DC area, speeding is as American as apple pie, plus you can use your radar to limit this goverment intrusion.

Al,
I completely agree that it's ridiculous to consider running a red light a criminal offense. Since you are in DC, I'm sure you're familiar with Virginia's ridiculous traffic law that considers speeding to be a misdemeanor (reckless driving). How's that for draconian?
Not really draconian if you consider they are among the leading causes of car accidents.Al,

ok. so I went to court, paid the fine (> $500 with traffic school...sigh!) AND took traffic school and would be taking certificate of completion, along with receipt of paying the fine with me to Oath.
Anything else I should do before Oath to make immigration officer happy?
Can they still create the problem given fine came out > 500 (without traffic school it was < 500, with traffic school it iwas > 500). I opted for traffic school to avoid increase in my insurance etc..
