I have always thought this portal represents a fairly good sample

of folks who are here mostly on H1b. Looking at the very small list that we have, even if we think it is just 1% who have responded, it makes me wonder why on earth did we have this retrogression! Over 10K visas were wasted last year, PIC countries just about got 7% each and no more, and the dates were retrogressed drastically, we did not see any approval posted here for months and months other than very few ROW! Consulate staff probably played Solitaire once the nurses quota was over, and also USCIS contractors.

Now with the holiday season upon us, just how many 485s would get processed and get stuck in name check, how many would really get approved. If you dont have a Christian sounding name, most probably, it takes a while in name check! I wonder how many visas would get wasted this year! It is really appalling! With these dates progression, everyone of these officials can come around and say we tried! Prakash Khathri, who brought the 'anticipated demand' into the equation and contributed to this mess can simply shrug and say 'unintended consequence of following the law'! We suckers can whine and join another line!
